How relaxing will make you play guitar better is something that enough guitar teachers aren't talking about. Hey guys! Brad Litton from SimpleGuitar.com here to help you with another beginner guitar lesson. Learning how to play guitar relaxed will ultimately help you play guitar better. The first thing you need to do is become aware of excess tension in your body when you play. To do that, stop yourself in the middle of playing & do a mental scan of your body looking for tense areas or flexed muscles & intentionally relax those spots. Then, before you begin playing, make sure you exhale to get rid of all the tension in your body. It's that simple, but it takes some practice to get it down & get rid of tension that's holding you back.
