The first major scale you should learn on guitar is not the standard box shape major scale or the three note per string major scale. Instead, I propose that you first learn single string major scales & how to play them on all your strings. Hey guys, Brad Litton from SimpleGuitar.com here with another beginner guitar lesson for you. Today we're going to actually apply the major scale to the guitar by playing it on single strings. This way you're really going to get to see & understand the structure of the major scale & get the pattern for it under your fingers & in your ears. Just like with every other guitar tutorial I do, you can play this on both acoustic guitar & electric guitar.
